The staffing industry has changed significantly over the past few years. We’re lucky, though, in that even though we’ve faced our share of challenges, our industry has also fared better than most.

Take, for instance, recent staffing industry statistics from the American Staffing Association (ASA).

According to ASA, from 2009 through 2011, U.S. staffing agencies created more new jobs than ANY OTHER industry. In addition, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the temporary staffing industry added nearly half a million workers, accounting for 91% of total non-farm job growth from June 2009 through June 2011.

Locally speaking, in Sacramento, the economy and job market is still experiencing some uncertainty.

For instance, according to our quarterly Sacramento employment trends survey, 62% of Sacramento’s leading companies say they will hire in the 4th quarter; however, 42% say that hiring is from the need to replace workers, not from creating new jobs. A mixed bag indeed!

But despite all these ups and downs, we know that the fundamentals of our economy remain the same.

Employers still need good people, willing to “show up,” bring value and fresh ideas to the table, and deliver positive results. Likewise, job candidates still want access to good jobs in Sacramento, ones that make them feel valued and productive, giving them the resources they need to support their families.

At Pacific Staffing, we’re so grateful that many of these companies and candidates turn to our Sacramento staffing agency for help in those areas. Each day, we work our hardest to ensure that we not only match great candidates with great jobs, but also that we exceed expectations along the way.

So to our clients and our candidates – thank you.

We’re so appreciative of the opportunities you’ve afforded us in 2011. We’re proud and grateful that you look to us time and again to help with some critically important tasks and decisions – including where to find great people and great jobs in Sacramento. And we look forward to working with you in the years to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!
